Submission Rules

Please be reasonable. This means only submitting deviations that belong in the Favorite or Gallery category you are submitting to. It also means not submitting more than a few items per day total. That's all the rules, have fun!

You can submit as much actual Deathling fan art as you want, to the "Deathlings Fan Art" section of the Gallery. The same goes for the "Deathlings Cosplay" and "Misc." folders, as long as you use them appropriately.

Members and Fans are also allowed to submit up to two items to the "Member Art" section of the Gallery, and up to three items to the "Members' Favorite Comic Art" section in the Favorites. (You can't submit directly to Featured.)

If you aren't sure, just ask!

Check out this great review of The Deathlings: Anne's Story #1, over on the Month of Indy Comics at Comics Should Be Good on Comic Book Resources.

I got home late last night after D&D and dinner with friends, to discover that the review had been posted over the weekend. I had sent them the book to review, but had no idea if it would be included-- or that they would say such nice things. It was definitely a great way to head onto a new week!

I hope this will mean some good exposure for the book, and the rest of the team. For my part, reviews like this are the only way I can validate that my writing isn't terrible. I have a real fear that people reading my stuff, especially this book-- the first comic script I ever wrote-- don't even think of it as a real comic. From the review, it sounds like I shouldn't worry so much.

Again, you can head here to check out the review! Feel free to leave some comments over there.

I'm proud to say that tonight, BlackLabelComics officially go digital with Graphic.ly!

"The Deathlings: Anne's Story" #1 is available now for just $0.99, and the preview issue #0 is available for FREE!

For the full info, visit our Kickstarter blog page.
So, a funny thing happened at New York Comic Con-- after accounting for comps for the artists, Kickstarter pre-orders, publisher drop-offs, and sending a few copies to Long Beach Comic Con... Well, we're basically out of comics.

The good news is that you can order both of our comics online now, direct from the printers! So until we have stock back in at the end of the year, I encourage you to pick up your copy of Black Label Comics #1 and The Deathlings: Anne's Story #1 at IndyPlanet.

I am working on a special issue of my magazine, Surreal Grotesque, which will be about the best web comics or independent comic artists/companies that people haven’t heard of. I want to help spread the word and promote artists. I would just need a bio from you, your info about your comic and 5-7 pages of the actual comic. It will be a special digital issue of the magazine. If you would like to be a part of this project, let me know: dangrn77@hotmail.com, just put Surreal Grotesque #0 as the subject. You can check out my website here: www.surrealgrotesque.com.

You definitely have some promising work in your portfolio, but I'm looking for artists with the interior/page experience to carry a regular book.
